What a strange comment.
It doesn't seem as though you listen to much music.
Elvis Costello wrote the lyrics-BB-the music.
The funny thing is that EC comes from a bit of a "punk"-ish background & Bacharach has often been critisized for composing "elevator music".

I love Elvis Costello's voice. There's such an emotional strength to it. There's more than one song of his that can move me to tears. He can take an old song and reinvent it. He's got such artistic range, too.

Aw c'mon mrpicky & you other chaps. There's not much going down for me either. But tomorrow morning I will wake, breathe deeply with the oxygen of life, rise and go and fill my day. Not every day will be good but I must never ever stop. I will not let fate dictate, I'm going to make my life happen for me and I'm going to write my own story. Events and good things my friends will surely follow for us all.
